Those members who are new to the PNBOA Varsity Lists are highly encouraged to attend the meeting to help prepare you for your first year on the Varsity List and all other veteran Varsity Officials are welcome to come and share their experiences and knowledge. Everyone in attendance will get credit for attending a PNBOA meeting. Please respond to this email if you are able to attend this meeting.
This meeting was originally begun to help new members to the Varsity Lists understand their responsibilities as a Varsity official including performing evaluations, address other nuances of being a Varsity official and ask questions of veteran Varsity officials before the season started. This season, there is no requirement for Varsity officials to perform evaluations, however, it is felt that there is still value in holding this meeting to address other aspects of being a PNBOA Varsity Official. Attending the Varsity Officials Only meeting counts as a meeting toward your meeting attendance requirement.
This year’s meeting will include Evaluator comments on how they perform their evaluations and how to receive the feedback you are given, what it means to be a PNBOA Varsity official, some rules information and a segment called ‘What I wish I knew when I became a PNBOA Varsity Official’.
